The following organizations will be beneficiaries of the 2026 Weston Community Classic:
Weston Area Emergency Support (WAES) food bank has been operating in Weston since 1986, and the need for their services continues to grow. In 2025, WAES saw an average of 3,400 visits per month, up from 3,090 in 2024. The total visits for all of 2025 were 41,451, which equates to over 370,000 meals. These numbers are staggering and underscore the importance of our financial support to WAES. This will be our fifth year supporting WAES.
As noted in their thank you letter for our donation last year “the incredible financial donation from your annual tournament will provide fresh food for our community for about 3.5 months. That is true commitment to community.”
ESS Support Services (formerly known as Etobicoke Services for Seniors) is a not-for-profit community agency that has been supporting seniors, older adults with disabilities, families and caregivers in Weston and Etobicoke since 1983.
ESS offers a diverse range of services and programs designed to support the independence, social well-being and health of their clients, along with a helping hand and respite for their families and caregivers. Many of their services and supports are offered at no cost to clients – this is particularly important at this time when many seniors are finding it very difficult to make ends meet. A portion of the funds raised from this year’s tournament will be directed to ESS’s respite program in Weston.
LOFT Community Services provides mental health services, addictions support, and supportive housing for youth, adults, and seniors. Operating since 1953, LOFT builds customized supports that specifically address a person’s needs and offer them for as long as they’re needed.
In partnership with other community agencies LOFT works to find solutions to community challenges and to better reach individuals who fall through the gaps. A portion of the funds raised from this year’s tournament will be directed to LOFT’s supportive housing program located in Weston.
